Youth Leadership Council

Through our Youth Leadership Council, young people gain the tools, experience, and connections to become strong advocates for change in their schools and communities. Together, they’re helping build a safer, healthier Texas for all youth.

Youth Engaged

Our Leadership Council is chosen from a group of talented applicants, ages 16–20, from across the state. As a member, youth:

  • Lead prevention efforts and make a real difference in their communities

  • Work directly with staff and local coalitions to drive change

  • Take active roles in our Statewide Coalition alongside peers and adult partners

  • Receive customized training and support to strengthen their skills and impact

  • Build advocacy, leadership, and communication skills that last a lifetime

Ready to join?

Applications are open year-round for students who want to make a difference in Texas. Selected members commit to a one-year term, October through September, and participate in exciting activities that help them build leadership skills, speak up for youth, and create real change in their communities.
