TxSDY Institutes are day-long events that focus on specific issues facing our communities. They provide an opportunity for participants to dive deeper on pressing prevention topics and connect with fellow stakeholders. Attendees explore research-backed strategies that make a difference for youth and leave with a clear path for bringing those strategies to life.
Youth Engagement Academies are an opportunity for youth and adults to work together to tackle youth substance use and impaired driving. The events are filled with meaningful activities that support effective partnerships between youth and adults, allowing them to collaborate and take action to create healthier, safer communities where all youth can thrive.
TxSDY’s Lunch & Learns give communities a chance to explore key prevention topics in a deeper, more interactive way. These sessions feature expert speakers who share timely insights, practical strategies, and opportunities for meaningful discussion—all designed to help you stay informed and strengthen prevention efforts in your community.
TxSDY’s Statewide Summit is a two-day event that brings together national and state experts, the TxSDY Youth Leadership Council, and YOU, working to create community change across our state. Through keynote presentations, breakout sessions, and networking with fellow community members, learn more about the role you can play at home, in schools, and in your town to decrease alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use among youth.
The Statewide Summit Series is a virtual educational series focused on current and emerging prevention topics impacting youth, families, and communities.Each 90-minute session features expert speakers, practical strategies, and actionable discussions designed to support professionals and community leaders working across prevention, public health, healthcare, education, law enforcement, policy, and advocacy.
